Team - Rob Wilson

Rob is a Partner specialising in charities and not-for-profit organisations, with over 20 years’ experience supporting the sector.

As one of the founding directors of Gravita Godfrey Wilson, established in 2005, Rob built the firm with a clear vision: to provide small charities with expert accounting and audit services.

After training as a Chartered Accountant at an independent practice in Harrow, Rob moved to a larger West London firm, where he developed broad experience across a diverse client base, from SMEs and charities to publicly listed companies. He also spent several years in industry, holding senior finance roles including Financial Controller for a leading PR agency, Head of Finance for a sports PR firm, and Head of Finance for a school specialising in 3D animation and CGI.

Rob’s passion for the charity sector began in the early 2000s when he started working with local charities and recognised the challenges many smaller organisations faced in accessing specialist financial advice. This inspired him to establish a firm dedicated to delivering practical, sector-specific support to charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Today, Rob oversees a portfolio of charity audits and independent examinations, while also providing hands-on advice on tax, cloud accounting and financial management. He works closely with Trustees and management teams, helping organisations gain the financial insight and confidence they need to achieve their objectives and maximise their impact.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that’s running, walking his springer spaniel, climbing mountains with his family or experimenting with new recipes in his outdoor kitchen.
